Decimal 小數
a number expressed using a system of counting based on the number ten

Parallelogram
Parallelogram 平行四邊形
a flat shape that has four sides. The two sets of opposite sides are parallel and of equal length to each other.

 Rookie 新手；菜鳥
a person who is new to an organization or an activity

 Grit 勇氣，毅力
courage and determination despite difficulty

 Ethic 行爲準則；道德規範
a system of accepted beliefs that control behaviour, especially such a system based on morals

 Introduce the talk:

The speaker, a psychologist, was a teacher in school. After the rich experience in education, she discover "Grid" is the most important thing to success. Which can be found in failure and start over after the learned lessons.

This week, teacher asked us to listen the BBC's 6 Minute English podcast about "Transport of the future". Actually, I'm very interested about this topic, so  I think this episode is very easy that there don't have anything difficult for me to understand. In this podcast, I learned 5 new words at below: Automation (n.) 自動化 the use of machines and computers that can operate without needing human control Ex:  We're trying to increase automation in the home while keeping the house an enjoyable place to live. Prototype (n.) 原型 the first example of something, such as a machine or other industrial product, from which all later forms are developed Ex:   Pilots  have begun testing a  prot otyp e  of the new  aircraft . far-fetched (adj.)  難以置信的 very unlikely to be true, and difficult to believe Ex:  The idea of  travelling  to other  solar  systems may sound  far-fetched  but scientists now see it as a  real  possibility. Audio: View on Vocaroo >> Transcript: When there are electronics like mobile phone or computer, I will procrastinate very often. Because these electronics have “superpower” that we want to check it out. So, when I studied for school’s subject or reading books, I will check the mobile phone for something never heard on the book. After find out the introduction on Wikipedia, I will want to check out other things like someone, something, some where’s introduction on Wikipedia. And I lost my studied time. I think most of the people like my age’s will have it, too. To prevent procrastinating, I have the following ideas: Put the electronics at somewhere we can’t see it when studied. Or after finding on mobile phones, told to yourself: “Put your attention back to your book right now!” and you will realize the book is important than mobile phone, and put the phone away.

#9 Voice blog of TED Talk: What makes a good life?

Voice: View on Vocaroo >> Script: The speaker is the fourth director of an study about Adult development which has took over 75 years. In this talk, he showed the result of the study, discover that "relationship" is important to our life. For the result, in deed, I feel very surprised, and think is it correct? I found that classmates beside me often get happy with their friends after break, but I'm not. I sometimes feel jealous to them, why I can't be like them? Maybe it comes to my poor social ability, which means I have to get more interactive with them, or everyone. I think Dr. Robert’s findings is reasonably, because not everyone are wealthy, have the good living, but all of them may have one or more friends or someone can share their feelings, take another one's suggestion and more, that's valuable.
