Voice: View on Vocaroo >> Script: The speaker is the fourth director of an study about Adult development which has took over 75 years. In this talk, he showed the result of the study, discover that "relationship" is important to our life. For the result, in deed, I feel very surprised, and think is it correct? I found that classmates beside me often get happy with their friends after break, but I'm not. I sometimes feel jealous to them, why I can't be like them? Maybe it comes to my poor social ability, which means I have to get more interactive with them, or everyone. I think Dr. Robert’s findings is reasonably, because not everyone are wealthy, have the good living, but all of them may have one or more friends or someone can share their feelings, take another one's suggestion and more, that's valuable.

Audio: View on Vocaroo >> Transcript: When there are electronics like mobile phone or computer, I will procrastinate very often. Because these electronics have “superpower” that we want to check it out. So, when I studied for school’s subject or reading books, I will check the mobile phone for something never heard on the book. After find out the introduction on Wikipedia, I will want to check out other things like someone, something, some where’s introduction on Wikipedia. And I lost my studied time. I think most of the people like my age’s will have it, too. To prevent procrastinating, I have the following ideas: Put the electronics at somewhere we can’t see it when studied. Or after finding on mobile phones, told to yourself: “Put your attention back to your book right now!” and you will realize the book is important than mobile phone, and put the phone away.

#5 Can I trust a smart speaker

圖片
(A) Do you have a smart speaker at home? Yes, there have one in my home. As the picture below. It's Amazon's Echo, a smart speaker  developed by   Amazon . When my father bought this device via my family member lived in the USA, he wished his kids could use it to improved their English. But I don't think this device would be useful in my home. Because lots of Amazon's services aren't available in Taiwan. Until now, we only use Echo to listen the ICRT online radio. (B) What is a smart speaker? You can r efered to the following picture, it seems no different with the regular one. But smart speaker has an important featured: With  virtual assistant. You can ask: reminds me for shopping, set the alarm, tell me the personal schedule today, even help you feel happy with the joke or the song. Ther

#4 My thoughts about the topic "Transport of the future"

In the podcast, the host has mentioned a future transportation conception, called "Hyperloop One". I had heared this name few years ago, thought this idea is very amazing. A land transportation can run faster, and cost cheaper (buiding cost, the first presenter of the conception said) than airplane. Though it sounds beautiful, I think that will have many ten years to make it popularize. For example, Maglev train, the japanese one is still in experiment. The only Maglev train runs in operation is in Shanghai, China. And the second question is the public can accept the new transportation or not. In a class at NTUB last year, I heared the teacher said: "Our (Taiwan's) High Speed Rail must starts from Keelung to Kenting, not just from  Nangang to Zuoying. Because after the tourists got off the ship in Keelung, they can get more fluent to their destination." And now, the central government are discussing the  issue about extending the HSR route to Pingtung. Both i
